THE PERKS OF TRAINING AT LB ACTING STUDIO 

This class is a prerequisite for future training at the LB ACTING STUDIO. Actors must have representation OR previous post secondary training in Theatre or Film & Television.

This class is not for beginner actors. If you're a beginner actor and do not currently have representation, check out our BEGINNER SERIES. 

This course is designed for the working actor who finds  their current approach is outdated or lacking. If you are struggling to respond to the demands of a 48 hour turn around and you are hungry for a fresh, practical and no-nonsense way of working, LB keeps it simple and this course is for you.

Lewis Baumander, the founder and director of LB Acting Studio, has over 50 years in the industry.  Having worked with 1000's of actors, Lewis has refined his approach down to a few simple steps that address and meet the demands of contemporary film making. 

The LB approach will challenge the very foundation of traditional acting techniques and leave you with a renewed sense of joy about the craft. 

Questions and open discussion are encouraged as we work through ingrained ways of thinking. Our approach is designed for the 21st century.

There will be on-camera application of techniques in every class and you will walk away with a series of exercises that can be taken out of the studio and practiced on your own as well as with fellow actors.

Actors will learn how to consciously do what is done unconsciously. You will come to depend more on your innate abilities as a human, rather than as an actor trying to get the part.

You will gain tools to apply to your work instead of intellectual constructs that are no longer working.
