Kids On-Camera is designed to help young performers bring their own life and imagination to written film/TV scenes and improvised scenes. Students work on camera in a variety of age-appropriate scenes. All students will have ample time on camera and will work in an encouraging and respectful atmosphere.
Actors will learn specific and practical skills for auditioning for roles and learn there is no ‘right’ way to play a scene.
Actors work on scenes from many different types of film and television genres: sit-com, sci-fi, fantasy adventure, drama, ghost stories, and more. Learning to use their instincts, adapt to different styles, and take direction is a key component of this class.
This class is mixed-level. Our small class sizes make it possible for the coach to focus on each individual's needs and assign material that will challenge them appropriately.
Week #5 is a mock audition day with a special industry guest + Q & A Panel for parents and kids
Actors receive a tape of their work from the final class with notes from the class coach
*please allow 2 weeks to receive*
Masks are required for all in-studio classes until actor is "on the mark".
If necessary, extra masks are available at the main office.
All class format, content, core values, techniques and drills were created and developed by Lewis Baumander.
