Coach: August Winter
August began acting at the age of six and soon after spent 6 seasons as a member of the company at the Stratford Festival, where they won the Mary Savidge Award for most promising young artist. When they made the full transition from theatre into film/TV, August started training with Lewis in order to adapt and strengthen the skills needed for being on camera.
They are best known for their role as a series regular on MARY KILLS PEOPLE opposite Caroline Dhavernas. Select credits include COPPER, WAREHOUSE 13, ROOKIE BLUE, SAVING HOPE, Netflix’s BETWEEN, THE DETAIL, WAYNE and feature film UNLESS opposite Catherine Keener.
Throughout their career, LB Acting Studio has been an invaluable training ground for August, and so it is a pleasure for them to now to help guide other actors along their unique paths.
In an art form where vulnerability is required from the actor in order to deepen their training, it is my commitment as a coach to maintain a professional environment that allows the student to feel safe and supported, all while being challenged to reach new levels in their craft. It is of utmost importance to me that above everything else, the actors that train with me feel respected as unique and individual humans, which will allow them to access and share the truth of who they are in their work.
