FAQ

What is a buffer week?
This is a week at the end of a session of classes that the studio requires you to reserve in your schedule in the case that the studio should need to reschedule a class.
What happens if I miss a class?
Most of our classes do not have an alternate day that they run.  However, if you miss a class you are encouraged to come out and audit a different class with the same instructor.  It is not guaranteed that you’ll be able to get up and work.  This will be determined by the coach if time allows.  Please contact the office to let us know of any absences.
Are your classes leveled?
Our classes are divided by age, however, children evolve at different rates. True creative learning for both youth and adults, has more to do with trial & error as opposed to right & wrong.
At the LB Acting studio we do not treat acting classes like school. As students feel more comfortable with a coach and the coach begins to know them, a bond forms that allows deeper insight with the actor.
A less experienced actor will get a 3 page scene while a more experienced actor might get a 6 or 8 page scene. Different scenes have different emotional complexities. We choose accordingly.  Many actors continue training with us in the same section for several rounds.
Where can I park?
There is parking at the Loblaws down the street or street parking available during certain times.  For more parking suggestions please go here
Is there anything I need for the first day of class?
For most classes, you do not need to prepare any material, just show up ready to work.  If there are sides to be prepped beforehand, they will be emailed to you 2 days prior to the start date.
Can I audit a class?
You can audit a class free of charge if you are new to the studio.  Please see full Audit details here. If you are enrolled in a class and wish to audit a different class, please let us know.  There is a  $20 audit fee for any additional audits after the initial audit.
How do I know if a class is right for me?
Please fill out our class recommendation form found here. If you are enrolled in a class and wish to continue in your training with us, your current coach will work with you on the best steps moving forward.
Is there an Actra discount?
There is a 5% Actra discount available. Please contact the office with your Union number and we will update your file with the appropriate discount. Please note: The Union discount is only applied to remaining class balances and full class payments. It is not applied to deposits.
What's your refund policy?
All class deposits are non-refundable and non transferable to future rounds.  We value each of our class placements and your enrollment is important to us.  Please thoroughly check your schedule before enrolling in a class.  You can read more about our refund policy here.
What if I book a gig?
Congrats!  We value each of our class placements and your enrollment is important to us.  Please thoroughly check your schedule before enrolling in a class.  You can read more about our refund policy hereIf you to audit alternate classes to make up for missed time, please contact the office.
Can I switch classes once I enroll?
Please contact the office if you need to move classes within a session prior to the start date of the class.  If there are spots available and it is an appropriate fit, we can make this adjustment for you!
How do I sign up?
Complete our online registration form under the desired class. You will then be directed to pay the deposit of $113 through our MindBody portal. This will reserve your placement. Remaining balances are due on the first day of class.
